Barcelona 2010 [part_01]
Believe or not, I will board on this plane. I know it’s pink, but I really look forward to see Dino and of course Gaudi’s Barcelona! Even stewards are dressed in pink arghh … Right now we are planing our trip.
We are boarding at Prague airport on Friday at 18:30 and approximate landing in Barcelona is 20:35. From airport it is cheapest going by train to Barcelona Sants station where is a metro connection. Train should be about 5 minute walk from Terminal 2 and is going every 30 minutes which is very comfortable interval, because Veuu needs a map (as usually) where she can draw obscure circles and arrows. Dino told us to buy a T10 ticket (7.85 Euros). The main advantages are: the price (A normal single journey ticket costs you 1.40 Euros so with a T10 you save 6.15 Euros for 10 journeys!), we can both pass in metro with one card (we just have to put the card in the machine and then pull it out completely and hand it to next person) and with T10 ticket we can change without paying an additional charge. The T10 is valid on the RENFE train to the airport but not valid on the Aerobus (the express bus service to the airport).
A little known point about the T10 ticket. The T10 ticket can be used on more than one means of transport and all be counted as a single journey provided that your journey is less than 1 hour and 15 minutes. This means for example, you can make changes at metro stops (provided you don’t leave the metro), then leave the metro and jump on a bus to finish your journey or vice versa as long as the total length of the journey is less than 1 hour and 15 mins. NOTE you cannot re-enter the metro once you have left it – this would count as another journey.
According to refne.se we can purchase a T10 ticket from any metro stop or at the entrance to the RENFE train platform at Barcelona Airport. We will meet Dino at L3 Liceu station (If you won’t be there we know where you live and have your number… and we will switch to seekn’destroy mode). Ok, that is all we need to plan ahead if we don’t want to sleep on streets. And if Dino don’t sell us for “spare parts” you will see another words from me.
